Happy Veteran's Day! NOT When You're Homeless

Just announced today, just in time for Veteran's Day: Philadelphia ranks among one of the worst cities for homeless veterans. Wallet Hub published this report on Monday, November 7 with the list shaping up like this:
Image result for homeless veterans in philadelphia
77. Pittsburgh
84. New York City
85. Philadelphia
86. Toledo, OH
95. Jersey City
98. Newark
99. Detroit

While this ministry is currently focused on Aramingo Ave, with hopes of expanding in a year or two, all you have to do is drive down this street or anywhere in Center City and they're everywhere. To think that many of these people are Veterans saddens me and it should sadden you too. These are people who have gone out of their way to help us and our country and yet many of them are passed over like animals today. What does this say about the state of our city? We're called the "City of Brotherly Love" and yet we're ranked near the bottom of this list. Isn't it time we take a stand and live up to our name? Take a look at our "wish list" and see what you can donate in honor of a veteran this Veteran's Day!
