In downtown Tampa, they're now arresting people who are feeding the homeless. Seven members of the group "Food Not Bombs" have been feeding the homeless for quite a while in Lykes Gaslight Square Park, but now that a national event is occurring in Tampa, they've been arrested for doing so. Check out this video...
Now how does this make any sense? Helping other humans shouldn't be illegal. Even the cops apparently agreed with this.
What if this were to happen in Philadelphia? In the past, they've attempted to make a law saying mass feedings are illegal. Do you realize this is a direct violation of our First Amendment Rights?
So, what happens if it becomes illegal to feed people in our city? I for one will still find a way to continue helping the homeless because the First Amendment gives me the right to do so... What will you do?
